Kratom to Assist with Opiate Withdrawal

Postby NaturalRemedies » Wed Jan 04, 2017 12:41 am

Kratom is structured different than morphine, but mitragynine seems to bind to the same opiod receptors as morphine does. This calming effect is probably the reason that many kratom users dealing with pain or withdrawal from opiate addiction turn to the herb for some relief. The opiate problem in America is at an all time high and is at levels that are staggering to the general public. Many users report a huge benefit of kratom use to relieve some of the debilitating symptoms of opiate withdrawal.

Known for its stimulant and opioid-like effects, the leaves of the Mitragyna speciosa plant have been a natural remedy used for centuries. Years of medical literature and individual enthusiasts lack any substantial findings or studies done on a large scale, although there has been many individuals and organizations researching the health benefits or drawbacks of kratom.

Opiate users looking to get clean and come off of drugs have a hard time dealing with withdrawals. Often painful and causing various ailments and sickness, there has always been a desire to find a smarter solution.
